Finally, the sadness is setting in. My "boys of summer" aka the White Sox aren't doing so hot in the pennant race. Wins are scarce, bookended with losing streaks. Thomas is officially out for the rest of the season. Ordonez's future is still unknown. I really thought "we" had a chance with the addition of Freddy Garcia. Shingo was finally showing us why they called him "Mr. Zero" in Japan. The Sox are now in 3rd place behind the Twins and the Indians.
Meteors were believed to be omens of disasters. Hopefully, this meteor show will bring good luck to the Sox. The Perseids meteor shower has been happening for the last few days. The peak of the meteor shower should be this Thursday (predawn).

Is it visible to the naked eye? The meteor shower that is.
With the right weather conditions, it was visible to the naked eye. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy over here, so I didn't see anything.
