Rollercoaster Ride with the White Sox

I guess this blog has served as one fan's documentation of the 2004 season. The media is getting on my nerve again. A couple of days ago, a reporter on CLTV was saying the White Sox are waving the white flag. Of course, he is a Cubs fan and is happy to step on the Sox and rub the Cubs recent success in our face. The Sox are not waving the white flag. NO one on that team, especially Ozzie, is giving up. Yes, it is getting more difficult to ensure a spot in the playoffs with all the losses the Sox are accumulating. It is the media that are proclaiming the end for the White Sox. Being a south sider and growing up with the Sox, I remain a loyal fan. However, that doesn't mean I won't critize the Sox when they aren't executing on the field. I was looking over the roster on the Sox website and was shocked to see many of them are younger than me! With some, it is only a couple of years, but I thought "Damn, I'm old!" Although I don't feel old. In fact, many times I feel like a kid especially when I'm around others in my profession who have seniority over me.

Interesting note...There are a couple of Sox players who are listed as single in their profiles.
As a little girl, I dreamed of being the White Sox shortstop like Ozzie Guillen. Marrying one wouldn't be so bad. How to approach them? "Let me examine that injury for you; I'm a doctor."

Ok, so, mmmm, I don't know. It would be a perfect match but how to approach?
