Fall Premieres

The fall season has resumed once again in TV land. There are a couple of shows I do watch.
Both are on the WB: Gilmore Girls and
Smallville . Smallville's appeal is obvious since it deals with Superman's beginnings. Who doesn't love Superman? In Smallville, we see Clark Kent as a teenager in high school when his powers begin to emerge. In the last seasons, we have seen Clark master his speed (fast than a speeding bullet), his xray vision, his unbelievable strength. One of the best part of the show is that Lex Luther and Clark are friends during this period of Clark's life. Slowly, we get to see how Lex will become his nemesis.

On a lighter note, Gilmore Girls is about a single mom and her only daughter. In earlier seasons, the daughter,Rory, was in high school. Now she has completed her freshman year at Yale. Rory and her mom, Lorelai, live in a small town in Connecticut. I am drawn by the amazing relationship between mom and daughter. Lorelai is a "hip" mom since she was pregnant with Rory when she was only a teen. I hope to have this open, caring, loving relationship with my future children. This season proves to be heating up in the romance department for Lorelai. She and Luke have starting dating; I really like the Luke character. Yes, he is a bit rugged but he has a kind heart and a beautiful soul.
