Keep These Lethal Weapons Off Our Streets!

The Assault Weapons Ban from 1994 is set to expire on Monday, September 13, 2004. How can someone argue that we should let this ban "sunset" to allow semi-automatic weapons in our streets. Read more about the ban by clicking on the title.

You can also go to the Physicians for Social Responsibility website for more information on gun violence. Here are some facts from the PSR website:

After the Ban went into effect in 1994, violent crimes
declined 26.5 percent from 1994 to 2001.

Assault weapons are often used in mass shootings and
have been implicated in the death one in five law enforcement
officers killed in the line of duty. The ban must be
renewed and strengthened to combat the epidemic of gun
violence in our society.
