Making the Rounds

So Terry Shiavo has died. Hope we all learned something from this.

The Pope is dying....yes at least that's my assessment. Reports on the Spanish news ('cause you know this is big news in the Latino world) are he has lost 19 kg and is suffering from high fevers.

Source of infection - possibly a UTI. Maybe it's a complicated UTI which has become urosepsis. Urosepsis - a foul word which we are told NEVER to write in a hospital chart. The desired terminology is UTI with sepsis. Why? It leads to a better reimbursement from the insurance company. Idiotic insurance companies don't see how "urosepsis" and "UTI with sepsis" are the same illness which usually requires more hospital resources. But I digress.

Back to the Pope. His health is taking a beating in the last few months....don't think his body is strong enough to overcome all this.
