What a surprise to see "El Sol" today!
With all that talk about snow and freezing warnings, I was expecting a dreary day. Happily I was slapped by the sunshine when I emerged out of my cave this lovely morning. Felt silly wearing my winter coat.
Last night, I was worried about my mom's garden. On Saturday, I saw some beautiful yellow tulips emerging. Then I hear on the news about the frost warnings....to bring in your plants or cover them to protect them. Well, I couldn't bother mom at midnight to check up on her tulips. Luckily, I know the yellow tulips are still standing proud in her garden....preparing to bloom.
My hypothesis....those tulips survived because they are "made in Chicago"....they know how to brave the elements.
