The Sox will hold their first Latino College Night in September. Not just Latino fans but Latinos with a higher education!
CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox will host the first-ever "White Sox Latino College Night" featuring an exclusive tailgate party on Saturday, September 3 when the White Sox face the Detroit Tigers at U.S. Cellular Field at 6:05 p.m.
Specially-priced tickets for "Orgullo Latino - Orgullo Sox" (Latino Pride - Sox Pride) are available for $28 and include an outfield reserved seat and a tailgate party with unlimited beverages from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The tailgate party also will feature a live DJ and Orgullo Sox giveaways. The special event aims to draw Latino college students and alumni from area schools for an experience that will introduce them to other college students and provide for a great end of summer activity with their friends.
"We've already created a wealth of opportunities to reach out to Latino fans this season, from Dia Del Nino in April to Orgullo Sox family events at Navy Pier and the Lincoln Park Zoo," said Brooks Boyer, White Sox vice president of marketing. "This is another great chance for us to reach out to the Latino community and invite people to experience a White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field."
