another path to happiness

Laughter

There is scientific evidence that laughter INCREASES your T cell count
T cells are part of your immune system.
A physician who practices integrative medicine told me he advises patients to try to get 20 minutes of laughter daily. Read something funny, See something funny. It should be real laughter....not forced laughter. So politely laughing at someone's jokes which you don't find hilarious.....doesn't count towards your daily laughter dose.

Here is something to help you get some laughter today:
This was given to me by a colleague of mine.

The Center for Disease Control has released a list of symptoms of bird flu.
If you experience any of the following, please seek medical treatment immediately:
1. High fever
2. Congestion
3. Nausea
4. Fatigue
5. Aching in the joints
6. An irresistible urge to shit on someone's windshield

**please note that the above is NOT actual medical advice

Ron - keep on laughing and keep the T cells up :)

mariposa - i like seeing/hearing u laugh...no more ba humbug

transience- yes...healthy because it's real laughter :)

santiago - it makes life much easier doesn't it.

gustavo - clearly #6 can't be used to determine if it's bird flu in your case....we will have to rely on other criteria ;)

CC - still good because YOU find it funny and it's true laughter....the others if they laugh and don't think it's funny...they aren't helping their health...maybe just pleasing someone else.

When does a person learn a fake laugh? I would imagine that fake laughs actually bring on illness.
