jealousy?

how dare they make me feel that what i do, my interests, my friends
are trivial.....not "hip" enough.

how dare they accuse me of being
shortsighted ...out of touch.

I enjoy exploring new things......meeting new people
hey, i've done alot more since being freed from the dungeon of residency
but I can't know EVERYTHING that is happening in the city AT ALL TIMES.
I'm not some socialite who has nothing better to do than just "hang out" around town!!

I try to keep current.
But then again, hanging out at the
fancy, "hip", expensive, pretentious restaurants/nightclubs is not my "scene".
I hate that shit. Many of the people there usually are superficial and have nothing of substance to say. I might go to those spots every once in a while only if I have some good company.

maybe they are jealous
about the things i participate in, the places i go
jealous about my close friends
jealous that i would make plans to hang out with someone else on a certain night
to engage in some goth rock debauchery

maybe it is jealousy...........i wouldn't hold it against them
