she looked away from the telly
and saw blood dripping.....
out of small lesions on her abdomen
she wiped the blood off
it continued bleeding
and something emerge from the tiny wound
it converted into an eye.....a tiny eye
somehow she was relieved by that sight
it didn't bother her how "unusual" that was
then she looked up at the huge window on her right
giving a panoramic view of the night
in the glass she saw the reflection
of bodies
dead, bloody bodies
"who killed those men?"
a tremendous presence of evil
surrounded that room
surrounded her
"who would kill those men?"
and then
one of them
moved
turned towards her
and either winked or smiled
but that evil presence was there
she looked away in fear
she didn't want to see them anymore
*******and in a city faraway,
the roadside bomb had detonated
blood was shed
again.

was that a dream? the imagery is so strong.
I read it as a dream, but that's the beauty of art -- open to the interpretation of the person who has the pleasure of experiencing it. Great art can open a window into our souls.
CC,
it was a dream.....felt more like a nightmare. was going to tell you about it on sunday....but the jazz musicians were blasting away in the background. if i could have convinced them to play something more ...
"creepy...melodramatic"
then it would have set the right mood ;)
Z,
it may have been a dream but it is leading me to create some "art" out of it....the emotion it erupted and the reality it speaks of.
If there is one thing i really really get the heebie-jeebies from...
it's parasites.
Eeeeeeeeeee!
*runs away in poem fear*

S,
my dear....it wasn't a parasite.
it was some evil being manifesting itself.
i dreamed that....and someone i know had been injured.
