The Senate voted today
against a constitutional amendment
that would ban same-sex marriages.
I was pleased to hear the news
especially since it seems like our individual rights
are been trampled on at an obscene frequency
during this Administration.
I don't have to be gay
to think that amendment
doesn't belong in our constitution.
All this reminds me of a new museum in Chicago - The Freedom Museum.
I had a fabulous time visiting the Freedom Museum.
I enjoyed learning and thinking about
freedom,
why this country was formed,
and what ideals make this a great country.
Freedom is worth fighting for. Gaining Freedom, whether it is freedom from slavery or women's freedom to vote, is never easy.
