ah....rejection
last week, i had to deal with some rejection,
but it didn't depress me as much
because i realized that "rejection" is part of the process
and
i'm an old pro at "rejection"
i've been dealing with "rejection"
since i was a kid.
"Rejection" of all kinds -
social rejection
intellectual/scholastic rejection
boy rejection
and even graduated to
professional rejection!
last week was just a new form -
artistic rejection -
I know i'll be dealing with it more and more
now that I decided to put myself "out there" artistically
so I'll move on
keep trying
keep believing
keep "pushing" my material
and learning something from the latest rejection (if there's something to learn from it)

It's great that you have the courage to risk rejection. The rejections will continue to happen, but they are part of the process.

the frustrating part of rejection is: not knowing why you were rejected.
It would be more helpful to know what was the reasoning...basis of the rejection. Many times you just get the rejection and are left wondering "why?"
You wonder if there are any "improvements" one can make to yourself or to your "work"

Yes, it would be great if you did get an explanation. All I can say is a few years from now plz sign my book:) and to be totally silly and make you laugh rejection rhymes with what?
Not getting feedback has to be extremely frustrating. Feedback is useful and constructive and something you can work with.
There must be ways to get honest feedback on your art.
most writers collect hundreds of rejection slips before they make it big. So, let's start on the rejection pile sooner than later!
