to which I responded, somewhat horrified,
"What? the "ugly" part?

Angelina Jolie sitting on a couch or something
reminded them of me....well, an anorexic version of me....i guess that's good ....maybe

I think you are beautiful. No te creas. They are just jealous of your beauty not to mention your smarts. They may have been refering to something else about her character. I have not seen the show it self. I may have to check it out.
Being a cross between Ugly Betty and Angelina Jolie sounds pretty good.
I haven't seen the show, but Ugly Betty doesn't really look ugly to me. I've seen the actress in a couple movies, and she's actually quite beautiful.

The person was in fact refering more to her ethnicity, kindness, warmth. You are right Zataod....the actress is beautiful. Even better, she doesn't have a "stick" for a body.
so i had NO idea who/what Ugly Betty was so I checked out your link... i couldnt help but notice that my wife has been watching a novela called "La Fea Mas Bella" for a couple months now and it looks very similar. I wonder who ripped off who in this case.... regardless, even though Ive never met you I trust Santiago that you are in fact, not ugly.

analisa is right. it was first a spanish novela which has been reproduced several times in spanish and by other countries like Germany (i think). Salma Hayek actually brought the english/American TV version to ABC :) I'm surprised Salma didn't tell ya ...hehehe
