Congress passed a bill this week that makes it possible for asthmatic kids to carry their inhalers while at school. Currently, medications including inhalers must be kept by the school nurse or the teacher. The new bill is a very good thing, since time CAN be a matter of life & death when an asthma exacerbation begins. The bill is awaiting the president's signature.

Thanks for this post. I didn't realize kids can't carry around inhalers. Would suck if Dubya refused to sign it.
