The Kids Are Listening

New report states there's a decrease in girls and boys, ages 15-17, who are having sex. Among those who are sexually active, more of them are using birth control.

Some believe abstinence is the way to go but take a look at this. Some disturbing news was released in a report by Rep. Henry Waxman, 30th district of California. It studied the content of federally funded abstinence-only education programs.

It concluded that
"many federally funded abstinence-only education programs use curricula that distort information about the effectiveness of contraceptives, misrepresent the risks of abortion, blur religion and science, treat stereotypes about girls and boys as scientific fact, and contain basic scientific errors."
