Sex Guilt

I had to chuckle (in my mind...not aloud, of course) when she said sheepishly, "then I had sex."

Why do people feel the need to apologize for having sex? Humans are sexual beings. Patients always seem reluctant to talk about it. Although, doctors are sometimes afraid or reluctant to ask patients about their sexual health. I can understand if the patient is a teen, how he/she would be embarassed. However, married patients also show me the "sex guilt" look.

Doc - "So when was the last time you had sex?" (I only ask this if the situation calls for it)
Patient - quietly replies, "Yesterday" or sometimes "This morning" (as if preparing to get scolded by me for having sex so recently)
I'm thinking...."Well, good for you"....at least some people are getting some action.

If you're married or in a relationship, I expect that you are having sex at some point. Maybe not every night. But maybe some of you are having it every night ;)

So all you out there of legal age, if you are having sex (doing it "safely" of course), no need to be ashamed about it. Especially if you are not cheating on your significant other.

And then there is people that build their entire lives around having sex, which in turn becomes a tragedy in itself.

the key with all things is balance...when sex is your only focus, yes, you are in trouble.

And as studies have shown, a healthy sex life improves overall health (physical/mental)

religion does make many people feel guilty about sex. Sex is the devil's work.

But also the lopsided standards in society makes many women feel guilty for haveing sexual desires/thoughts. Women need sex as much as men do. Hey, if we didn't have sex, we won't procreate. Although some would see that as a good thing since humans tend to destroy their environment.

Procreation is probably another thing best done in moderation.

normies, yes people sure know how to mess with a woman's sexuality. They are nice b/w photos - Maxwell has a gifted eye.
