Rejoice!
okay, i said i refused to believe in curses.
But as i got ready to go to the "White Sox vs Detroit" game, i kept hearing his voice.
He didn't want me to go because the Sox always lose when I go.
"you're taking a lucky charm, right?"
"what are you going to do to break this curse?"
I just wanna enjoy the baseball game.
Not worry about specific voodoo tricks that I should be doing between innings.
Sacrificing a chicken, perhaps? Don't think security would appreciate that bloody scene. Not to mention the people in the neighboring seats. For God's sake, this is a "family friendly" ballpark (according to the Sox Public Relations department). Of course, the women, in skin tight white T-shirts, jumping up & down in the field, and jiggling what their mama gave them around the 7th inning..... is also promoting this "family" atmosphere.
Nevertheless, I dug around my bedroom for a "lucky" charm. Foolish? Yes, but now the anxiety was mounting. WE have to WIN tonight. Please win for me! May the baseball gods shine down upon the White Sox and me!
And then the clouds parted and the magic began....a solo homerun by Konerko...a 3-run homer by Crede....a solo homerun by Uribe...all in the same inning...the White Sox were ahead.
Final score Sox 7 Tigers 5. And Frank Thomas hit a solo homerun for the final run of the evening.

That was you! That was the most hearbreaking game of the season for me! I almost threw up. Luckily the Tigs won the series :) What was your lucky charm by the way?
i told you they would win, cause i was there and clueless to everything baseball. although i do have to say i was bitten with the excitement bug of the seventh inning.
I wasn't a big fan of that curse.
There PR dept. is definately sending mixed singles by having those women jiggeling about on the field.
what is the Sox PR dept promoting? Breastfeeding?
i was so relieved the curse was broken
but now....the Sox got to win again at home!
And a good time was had by all!
